Marcia's Civil War Quilt

Marcia has been working on this quilt for her husband for some time now.......and now it just needs the borders. The colors are wonderful and warm - using reproduction fabrics throughout.

Brownstone Quilters

Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville.com is the speaker at Friday's (17th) meeting of the Brownstone Quilters Guild. To the Batik Factory

They visited a batik factory and had a tour of how the batiks are made. They show the process and there were ladies working on the batiks in the scorching sun. It was fun to see, but not as fun as the shopping!

After that they went on an elephant safari in Taro. Over all not a bad vacation!

Here's a peak of a new quilt from Selena, featuring a beautiful collection of embroidery designs. This will be the next pattern in the Happy Quilter Designs line of patterns. It will be ready for the Northern Star Quilt Show where The Happy Quilter will be vending. This is a wonderful show in Somers, NY, on May 2 and 3. More about the 830

Marcia and Bethany got to go to a day of training on the 830 this past week. This machine is SOOOOO much fun to play on! This stunning quilt was made with designs that are right on the machine - we plan to make one up because it is just so simple to do and it's so beautiful. The next display was just exhibiting some of the features. Marcia had a blast and we had fun stitching out a sample that you can come see in the shop.
